Healthy Berry Smoothie

This is a smoothie that will make the whole family happy. Healthy ingredients, great flavor and even a fun pink color.

Berry Smoothie

1 cup frozen berries
1 cup frozen mixed fruit
1 apple, cored and sliced
1/2 cup fresh spinach
1 Tbsp. flax or chia seeds

2 cups juice

Mix all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Serve.

Notes:

  • All of the ingredients can be prepared and stored in a quart size freezer bag (or reusable storage bag) in the freezer for a quicker breakfast on a busy morning.

  • Raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries or a mixture work well.

  • Use 100% juice. Apple is a good basic option however you can mix up the flavors with orange, mango, or grape.

  • Kale can be used in the place of the spinach however it does have a little stronger flavor.
